Children Of The Night project is - or was - a privately funded organization headed by Dr. Lois Lee. Project was launched to get the adolescent runaways, sexually abused children and prostitutes off the streets of Los Angeles and to help them to re-enter the mainstream society. There were apparently only TV commercials about this project, as well as mentions on some metal magazines and videos, but no recordings were made from the project. Both Ronnie James Dio and Wendy Dio supposedly took part of this project. They had at least one charity concert at Irvine Meadows Theatre in Irvine, California on August 1st with Dio headlining the show.
Later, on October 3rd, 1991 in the Foundations Forum 1991 at Marriott Hotel, Los Angeles, Ronnie James Dio was presented with the Dave Pritchard Memorial Award because of his help for the Children Of The Night project.
