Saw DIO in Seattle at Under the Rail. Dio did a great show. Lot's of songs from the first album. Don't talk to Strangers. Stand Up and Shout. Holy Diver. Rainbow in the Dark. They also did Mob Rules and Heaven and Hell from the Ronnie Dio Sabbath days. Also did the Rainbow...Man on the Silver Mountain. The drum solo was awesome.
Ronnie Dio's performance was excellent and the look he had on his face, he probably enjoyed seeing the the wild moshing in the crowd. It was just superb. The crowd wanted a encore performance and we all were shouting "DIO...DIO...DIO" The band came out on stage and finished the show with We Rock and Last in Line. It was a great show and I'm very pleased that DIO played plenty of songs from the first DIO album. The first time I saw DIO was in the Seattle Arena about 10 years ago. I must have been about 17 year old back then but after seeing the August 18th performance in Seattle, I have to say that DIO still rocks.
