The following is a review of the first Dio show on the Angry Machines tour, originally mailed directly to me. Republished here with permission from the author. I had to edit the layout a little bit for better outlook on web, but all the information is still intact.

I went to the Dio show in Providence on the 27th, and it was great. Dio sounded incredible, I've seen him in 1987, 1992, and 1994 but he was really on his stuff this time. He had some mild interaction with the front row people, talking back and forth that sort of thing, he also had some crowd participation for a few of the chorus'.
He played (sorry. this isn't in order)
the only bad thing I can say is that the doors opened at 8:00, MOtorhead wasn't on stage until 9:45 or so, and they still played a full set. There was a lay-over (set change) of about 30 minutes then Dio came on close to midnight, maybe a little before. In providence there are by-laws that make shows end before certain times, like 1:00 am, but Dio stayed on until about 1:20am. I think the show was short but well worth it.
